This app is designed to control the Jetlag Optics LED light system The Jetlag Optics system is designed to utilize exposure to brief flashes of bright light to modify the body internal clock, or circadian rhythm. The lights activate photoreceptors in the eyes, causing a shift in the body-clock. Function 1. Pressing the Start button initiates a 1 hour 45 minute countdown. Start it right before you go to bed. 2. At the end of the countdown, 3-millisecond flashes of light will flash every 8 seconds for a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes. This has been shown, in a 2016 study by a major university, to activate photoreceptors even with the eyes closed and delays the onset of sleepiness the following day by two hours.
